The people (and pets) behind PadPaws.

My name is Joy Robinson, founder of PadPaws

My love of animals has been lifelong. From dogs, and cats to rabbits, birds, hamsters and everything in between, animals have always been a huge part of my world.

PadPaws was born from that love, together with a genuine desire to provide a professional, reliable, and truly professional pet care service that owners can trust completely.

Before creating PadPaws, I spent more than 26 years working across the commercial and charity sectors, including time with a well-known veterinary charity. Eventually I decided it was time to step away from the corporate hamster wheel and build the life I had always wanted-one centred around caring for animals and the people who love them.

At PadPaws, our care goes far beyond simply walking, feeding, or keeping your pets company. Their physical and mental wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We take a welfare-led approach to pet care, recognising that every animal is an individual with their own needs, personality and routines.

Our approach is guided by the Five Welfare Needs- Environment, Diet, Behaviour, Companionship and Health - helping us consider the whole animal and provide care that supports both their physical health and emotional wellbeing. From appropriate exercise and enrichment to companionship, comfort and understanding their natural behaviours, our aim is to help every pet in our care feel safe, secure, happy and content.

At home, my family includes my Birman cats Oliver and Oscar, along with my husband, Ian. My beautiful liver-spotted dalmatian, Beau will also hold a very special place in my heart. Although she is sadly no longer with us, she remains an important part of my story and of the love for animals that sits at the very heart of PadPaws.

PadPaws is built on a simple belief: your pets are family. When they're in our care, we treat them like family too.
